Trey Sebrell

Ralph E. (Trey) Sebrell, III, was born on October 15, 1972 in Memphis, Tennessee. A resident of Jackson since age two, he attended elementary school at First Presbyterian Day School. He began working at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home at age 16, working part time answering phone calls and assisting on funerals. Trey continued working at the funeral home while attending Junior High and High School at Jackson Academy. After graduation, Trey remained on the payroll at the funeral home while working towards his degree at the University of Mississippi. While attending college, Trey would assist Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home when home on the weekends or summer.

After graduation, he returned to Jackson and began working as a apprentice. After completion, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he earned his degree in Funeral Service. After successful completion of the National Board Examination, he began his career as an Assistant Funeral Director and Embalmer at Wright & Ferguson. He was quickly promoted to funeral director, becoming the youngest funeral director at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home. While at Wright & Ferguson, he served hundreds of families with care and compassion. Trey earned his Eagle Scout Award from Boy Scout Troop 1, the oldest Boy Scout Troop in Mississippi. He is a cradle Episcopalian and is a communicant of St. James Episcopal Church.
