Obituary for Thelma (Mrs. T.) Lane Causey
Thelma Lane Causey (Mrs. T.), 91, went to sleep at her home Friday night, and woke up in Heaven on Saturday morning, October 15, 2016.Thelma was born on July 15,1925 in Gloucester, Massachusetts. She received her nursing degree from Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Mrs.Thelma was a registered nurse for over 50 years, serving patients at Hinds General Hospital and Baptist Hospital. She was a faithful member of Faithview Baptist Church on Raymond Road. After retirement, her ministry was visiting many people in nursing homes, and sharing the love of Jesus with everyone she met. “T” was described as the most selfless person you would ever want to meet. To know her was to be impacted by her loving and caring nature. Mrs. Causey was preceded in death by her husband, George Davis Causey. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy Brown (Dr. Eugene C. Brown Jr.) and her son, Dr. Alan Lane Causey (Jan). Grammy is also survived by granddaughters; Stephanie Powell (Jayce), Stacy Alexander (Brennan) and Annie Causey, grandson, Tully Causey; great grandchildren,Marcie and Clayton McDaniel, and Kayleigh and Taylor Sykes.Her Home Going service will be Wednesday, October 19, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at Colonial Heights Baptist Church, with visitation Tuesday 5:30-7:00 at Sebrell Funeral Home and Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Colonial Heights. Memorials can be made to Faithview Baptist Church, 6603 Jackson-Raymond Road,Raymond,MS. 39154.
