Obituary for Robert Emerson Keyes
Robert Emerson (Bob) Keyes, age 61, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, February 6, 2017. He was born on November 20, 1955 in Starkville, Mississippi. Bob was a longtime resident of Jackson, MS where he was a devoted member of Meadowbrook Church of Christ. He lived in Petal, MS for the last several years of his life. Bob was a proud graduate of Ole Miss and was happy to share that with anyone who was interested. He was a devoted son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many who were privileged to know him.
He was preceded by his father, John William Keyes, Sr. He is survived by his mother, Evelyn Keyes of Pensacola, Florida, formerly of Clinton, MS., a sister Donna Frost (Monta) Magnolia, TX, three brothers, Bill (Consuelo) Carls Junction, MO, Jeff (Marydean) Pensacola, FL and Rusty (Kwannet) Orlando, FL; five nieces and six nephews. There will be a graveside service at Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, Jackson, MS on Friday February 10, at 3 p.m. Memorials may be made to Kensington Woods Church of Christ, Hattiesburg, MS, 415 S. 40th Ave, 39402.
