Patricia “Diane” Cockrell
Also, lovingly known by her family as “Sister”, passed away at her home after a long battle with cancer. She was surrounded by family. She was born in Hammond, LA and grew up primarily in Brookhaven, MS where she attended Brookhaven High School. Diane loved music, singing, dancing, trips to Vicksburg, and all her fur babiesDiane left behind her beloved Yorkie, Gabby, who will miss her dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Margaret Shaheen and a brother, Ronnie Shaheen. Survivors include her children, Susan(Domingo) Rodriguez and Peter(Dee Anne) Wilson all of Brandon, MS, her grandchildren, Haley, Emma, and Wade Wilson, her siblings, Jerry(Mary) Shaheen of GA, Bobby(Pam) Shaheen of TX, Mike(Margaret) Shaheen of MS and Gail McElroy of MS, sister-in-law, Dianne Shaheen of FL as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at Sebrell Funeral Home, 425 Northpark Drive, Ridgeland, MS on Friday, March 17, 2017 at 1:00 pm with the service following at 3:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to C.A.R.A.
