Obituary for Billy Ray Payne
Billy Ray Payne born March 3, 1945 passed away peacefully November 19, 2017 at his home in Florence, MS surrounded by family and friends. Billy was a faithful member of Trinity Baptist Church in Florence, MS. Billy served in the United States Marine Corps from October 1964 to June 1971. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m Wednesday, 22, 2017. at Trinity Baptist Church. The service will be officiated by James Brown. Interment will follow at Wesley Anna Cemetery in Star, MS. There will be a visitation from 9: 00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Baptist Church. Pallbearers include, Chase Alford, Daniel Floyd, James Floyd, Jacob Floyd, Frank Floyd, and Anthony Floyd. Billy will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend. Survivors include, his loving wife, Carolyn Payne; one daughter, Nita Payne and husband Chuck; one step-daughter, Nancy Smith and husband Randy; two step sons, Phillip Summerlin and wife Rhonda, Eric Summerlin and wife Brandy; one sister Sandra Sweeney and husband Junior; 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his mother Mable and father Gilbert and one Brother Sonny Payne.
